About Me

Megan Hubbard

I am recent graduate from The University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor of Science in Communications and a Master's in Public Administration. I am a highly skilled student with proven experience in the public relations, customer service, retail sales, marketing, promotions, and advertising. I am a hard working professional with an optomistic personality.

In the fall of 2012, I worked as a Sales and Marketing Consultant at The Shield (USI’s Student Newspaper). I made proposals for clients who were interested in advertising with the university. There I became stronger with my computer skills as well as communication skills. I worked with documents such as Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe InDesign. I found that constantly communicating with my clients brought a better relationship that made those companies more comfortable with me. I would continue to build relationships with those businesses to uphold our customer base.  Weekly our advisor would set a sales goal and I would do my best to reach them. I am proud to say most of the time I achieved them, and with that I was awarded Sales and Marketing Consultant of the Year for 2011-2012.

While also working at The Shield I had an internship with Social Life Marketing, LLC. My position was Social Media Representative. I worked with a creative team to create promotions for the companies we represented. We made effective cross campaigns to gain more awareness for that companies brand or product. Daily I dealt with public relations by answering emails, questions, and concerns that customers had.

In January 2013 I began working as a Business Development Associate at Expressway Dodge. I spoke with customers day to day and answer any questions and concerns they have. I also set appointments for four different stores, along with call clients to create and build new relationships. Additionally, I work hard to follow up and maintain the business clients’ relationships. I have learned to become great at multitasking and have strengthened my communication skills.

Currently I am the Customer Service Specialist/ Assistant Marketing Coordinator at Sodexo. I run events and promotions for the University of Southern Indiana Dining Services. I am the supervisor of the Student Board of Directors, and assist Sodexo with research on the student’s perceptions of the dining services at USI.  I am learning to strengthen my leadership skills and improve management-related job skills.

Furthermore, I find myself to be very well organized, great at multitasking and have good communication skills. I want to thank you for taking the time to review this section about me. I hope that you will see that I am able to adapt quickly to new environments and learn easily with the skills and talents I have learned. Being a full time student and young professional has taught me in depth more about customer service, advertising, marketing, and public relations. Feel free to contact me morning or evening via phone or email.
